I first saw this flim on sky and wanted to see it again. So 2 mounths ago i saw it on bbc 1 and taped it and watched it over again and found the folowing falts.1 the two police officers in the massacre were Fred(killer)burke, and Jo lardo, not the names wiched were used in the film. The submachine guns had minigun type fore grips instead of the normal pistol type for grips used on the M1928A1 Thompson and a colt 45 was also used in the real massacre.also when hyme wiess imagend firing 1000′s of rounds at the hotel he pictued pete gusenburg firing a submachine gun,but pete joined bugs moran a year later. Also the famous baseball scean had just scalese amd alsalmi but another hud called jo (hat top) gunti also got crowned by capone in 1929.apart from these minor falts it was an amazin film.It might be more amazin if it had telly savalis in it he d make a great capone.

The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre
It’s fairly accurate account of mob warfare in 20′s Chicago. Most of actors resemble the real gangsters, except one!The most important character is Al Capone and who does Hollywood think resembles Capone?A thin full haired Jason Robards???????Besides that minor error it’s still Historically Good! END

The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre
This is a classic. If you haven’t yet seen it, I strongly advise that you should. It’s a well known formula – bad guys fighting it out for control of a city. A few mistakes were made with the casting (whose idea was it to have Jason Robards playing Al Capone?) but nonetheless, it is a great film. That is, for a Roger Corman film.

The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre
Although this film may have inaccuracies, and what true life film doesn’t, it is still the best film depicting certain events in the history of Al Capone. Yes, Jason Robards wasn’t the best Al Capone, a lot of his depiction was a little on the hammie side, but the film did show true life events, what does it matter which gunman jumped out of the vehicle to spray the restaurant Capone was in, that did happen. the fact is that this film is still one of the best ganster films of all time. I will watch over and over again. Even though he has no credit in the film, I thought that Jack Nicholson had one of the best lines in the film.
